Our Scottish Highland Adventure

Scotland's Highlands

We started our journey to the highlands of Scotland in Edinburgh and after a few stops we finally made it to Inverness one of the best spots to explore the highlands. I highly recommend eating at the Snow Goose in Inverness it is charming, Scottish, and has amazing food.

We hired a Scottish private guide who took us to see many things and told us stories of Scotland.

First stop, Balnuaran of Clava there are four cairns and three stone circle there. The Cairns were created to hold the dead of prestige’s people nearly 4000 years ago. The Culloden battlefield is home to a famous battle against the Jacobites and the British interesting, but sad.

Loch Ness River is humongous, we had no idea it is that large. We heard a quote that every-one in the world could be stacked 3 deep and there would still be room for more people no wonder it’s hard to find Nessie as the Scottish people call the monster that lives there. Also on Loch ness is an amazing castle called the Urquhart castle at over 500 years of history it is magnificent.

We drove back to Edinburgh via Fort William and Glencoe which is very scenic one of the best pieces of advice we can give is don’t underestimate the time it takes to drive places even if the miles are low it is mostly 2 lane roads, roundabouts, and if you are going in the late Autumn winter it gets dark very early.

If you have any questions or would like to book a Scottish trip email me or call us, we would be happy to put something together for you.

I have always loved everything about travel! I began my career as a sales assistant for Funjet/Southwest vacations specializing in Mexico, Disneyland, and Las Vegas. In 1998, I was offered a job with Murdock Travel (now Morris Columbus Travel) and have been a leisure agent ever since. I love getting the best value and price for my clients. When planning for my clients’ trips, I try to view it as though I am planning my own vacation so that every detail will be flawless.

What started as a part-time hobby more than 30 years ago has turned into a full-time career. I feel fortunate to have had some incredible experiences. Catching a 45 lb king salmon on the Kenai River, visiting Hobbiton in New Zealand, touring ancient castles in Germany, feeding the sharks in Bora Bora, attending the premier for Cars Land in Disneyland, and so much more! I am passionate about travel and enjoy creating "once in a lifetime" memories for clients.
