My Relaxing Caribbean Cruise Aboard Celebrity Beyond
I had heard from so many about the quality and impressive service of Celebrity Cruise Lines. So finally, September 28, 2026, I boarded the Celebrity Beyond for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise. First impressions? This ship is stunning with all kinds of delightful surprises as you explore the design of the ship.
Setting Sail
The boarding process at the port in Miami was easy. The design of the Beyond is modern, chic, and filled with floor-to-ceiling windows. Walking through the main lobby called the Grand Plaza I loved the classy upscale design. We were able to head to our stateroom right away where we were able to enjoy a beautiful cabin with plenty of space for storage with a picture window and sofa. Although we did not stay in one, one of the more unique features of the Celebrity Beyond ship are the Infinity Balcony Cabins. These cabins have a sliding glass window that pulls down to become your balcony. Instead of sitting out on the balcony, that space is used on the interior and the sitting area is then inside your cabin with still the open-air feel with clear picture views.
A Few Onboard Treats
The next thing we did was go to the Oceanview Cafe which is one of the nicest buffets I have seen on a cruise ship. With all kinds of options from fresh fruits, breads, cheese, desserts of American, European and Asian options. The main thing I noticed was the freshness and the quality of the food.
As the ship left Miami, we enjoyed fresh pizza from the brick oven pizza station at the back of the ship. Live music set the mood as the sun set, while watching the views of the city as we set sail. Dinner was at Cosmopolitan, a chic-inspired main dining room. The New York steak I had was exceptional as well as the service.
All of the main dining restaurants on Celebrity Beyond were fabulous. Celebrity is known for their excellent dining. They have amazing specialty restaurants. However, if you don’t feel like spending a penny more, there are 4 main included restaurants for dinner including the Cosmopolitan, Cyprus (Mediterranean), Tuscan (Italian) and Normandie (French Inspired). They are all fabulous. There are also several other small hidden spots for complimentary snacks and small bites. One is the Café Bacio coffee bar, the desserts there are fabulous and most people think that you have to pay for them but they are included.
What's Life Like Onboard
The Celebrity Beyond is not really a ship for teenagers and children. Although they are welcome and there is a very great kids club onboard. You won’t see many of them on the ship. There are not any waterslides or rock-climbing walls but it is also not a sleepy boring ship either. Those looking for more serene comfort with beautiful ambiance, great food and entertainment this is a perfect choice.
For those who like to stay in shape there is a great walk/jogging track, which features a ramp for a challenge and great ocean views. Then, we found a new favorite spot: the adults-only Solarium. Under a glass dome, it’s a quieter space with a pool and hot tubs, a perfect place to read and unwind. Other areas of the ship that were delightful to spend time in, were the Eden Lounge and the Rooftop Garden. I especially enjoyed these areas as they have a more calm, relaxing atmosphere with décor of being in nature and the outdoors.
Another unique thing about this ship was that the casino was tucked away in such a way that it was not required to walk through it to get from the front to the back of the deck. There was always entertainment happening around the ship from live musicians at the Grand Plaza. The metallic disco night. The Martini Bar flair bartenders put on a performance. It’s the energetic heart of the ship, and people-watching is fantastic.
Beyond Entertainment
The evening entertainment at the main Theatre is some of the best I’ve seen. Aerial acrobatics with stunning visual effects. Professionals from Americas got talent the TV Show. Fabulously talented singers and dancers. I loved it all.
Island Hopping
We visited St Thomas, St Maarten and were originally set to visit Nassau but because of tropical storms our captain made the decision to move us away from the Bahamas and we visited Puerto Plata, Dominican instead. We enjoyed swimming in the crystal blue waters and experiencing the vibrant cultures of the Caribbean.
Final Thoughts
The overall vacation was a win and the vibe onboard the ship was sophisticated, relaxing, and focused on wellness and fabulous dining. My time on the Celebrity Beyond offered an elevated experience that felt like a luxury resort. Until next time, Caribbean
