I absolutely love to travel and always have. To me, it is the best experience and education in life. I started traveling at a young age. In fact, the only B grade I received during high school was because I had been traveling with my family in Europe for a month, and they thought I had missed too many days. However, I had learned more than any other student. I graduated Valedictorian anyway. I have raised my children the same way, putting them on their first airplane ride at 2 months old and their first cruise by the age of 1. We love to cruise anywhere, anytime. There is nothing like sailing through the Grand Canal in Venice past St. Mark's Square, on a ship that is larger than the cathedral itself or watching glaciers calve in Alaska. In addition to cruising, I am a Disney nut and have been to Disneyland hundreds of times and Disney World over 20 times. I also love to just hit the beaches and relax. Traveling is the ultimate high. Nothing surpasses bungee jumping in New Zealand, ziplining in Hawaii, or walking the ruins in Ephesus. I was born in Arizona, but moved to Los Angeles (the valley) when I was eight. We traveled quite a bit, going to Europe for the first time when I was 14. I had the travel bug from that point on. Living in Southern California, I grew up with Disneyland, since we are the same age. We visited the park at least twice a month. I know it like the back of my hand. Since I loved to travel, my goal was to work with the airlines. I attended BYU, but when I was offered a job with Western Airlines at LAX, my dreams came true. During the time of working for the airlines I took the opportunity to travel to as many places as I could, even if it was Munich for the weekend. I went to Hawaii over 20 times. I worked in reservations for 8 years until I married a US Marine and we moved to Oceanside, CA, since he was based at Camp Pendleton. I managed a travel agency there until moving to Utah. Even after I left the airlines, we have never stopped traveling. Here in Utah, I worked with the American Express Travel Agency in SLC and then managed Castle Travel in Heber for 16 years. I am very excited to be a member of Morris Columbus Travel’s great travel team.
I have had the wonderful opportunity in my life to see so many different areas and experience different cultures of the world. I have instilled in my children a love for the same. They have gained knowledge, tolerance, and love of the people of the world, in addition to having lots of fun and unprecedented experiences. I have the best job in the world because I get to help others everyday do the same. I get to help friends (that is what my clients are to me) make their dreams come true and supply memories of a lifetime.
