Itinerary

DAY 1 - April 14, 2027 | Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is a compelling stop where the infinite variety of street life, the nooks and crannies of the medieval Barri Gotico, the ceramic tiles and stained glass of Art Nouveau facades, the art, and music, the throb of street life. The capital of Catalonia is a banquet for the senses, with its beguiling mix of ancient and modern architecture, tempting cafés and markets, and sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches. A stroll along La Rambla and through waterfront Barceloneta, as well as a tour of Gaudà

Often overlooked in favor of glitzier Riviera neighbors, Toulon reveals a more grounded and genuinely maritime face of southern France. France’s principal naval port, it balances working harbor energy with Provençal markets, sunlit squares, and easy access to the limestone beauty of nearby coves and hills. The city rewards those willing to look past first impressions, offering authenticity, sea air, and a distinctly local rhythm; one of those cruise stops that neatly combine scenic beauty, cultural depth, and the pleasure of lingering ashore.

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Cartagena is where empires left their mark on Spanish soil. Founded by the Carthaginians in 227 BC and contested by Romans, Moors, and Vandals, this Murcian port wears its layered history openly. The 1988 discovery of a magnificently preserved Roman theater remains its defining revelation, while the hilltop Castillo de la Concepción commands views across the harbor that have been coveted for centuries. Calle Mayor winds between modernist facades and ancient ruins, and the tapas bars offer Spain at its most unhurried: a cruise port as authentic as the Mediterranean gets.

The bustling resort of Alicante serves not only as the port for Madrid, but is also one of the loveliest vacation spots along Spain’s sunny Costa Blanca. The port’s occupation by Roman and Moorish forces accounts for a notable and varied heritage. In fact, much of this cultural impact is still apparent today in numerous buildings, names and the cuisine, with Alicante cultural landmarks, Alicante Mediterranean cuisine, and Alicante historical sites adding further depth to the experience, giving the call a strong sense of place.

Valencia balances the weight of history with the confidence of a city always looking forward. Gothic landmarks, bustling markets, and the old riverbed gardens share space with avant-garde architecture, inventive cuisine, and a Mediterranean shoreline that keeps the atmosphere open and bright. Calling here reveals a Spain that is both rooted and daring, where tradition and design coexist with unusual ease and every neighborhood seems to speak in a slightly different register without ever straining for effect.

Ibiza is far more than the sum of its summer parties. The White Isle’s 16th-century fortified old town, Dalt Vila, rises above cobbled streets lined with seafood restaurants and open-air bars, its cathedral offering views across the Mediterranean that put the nightlife in proper perspective. Hidden coves punctuate a coastline of sandy beaches and pine-covered headlands, while the enigmatic rock of Es Vedrà looms offshore, trailing local legends about magnetic fields and ancient sirens. Ibiza rewards those who look beyond its reputation.

Palma de Mallorca combines the Balearic coast with dramatic scenery, offering a destination rich in personality. There is plenty to absorb in Mediterranean cuisine and Mallorcan culture, which showcase the stop’s unique identity and reveal how much atmosphere can be contained within a relatively compact call. The stop feels especially satisfying for travelers who prefer places with depth, atmosphere, and something genuine to discover beneath the obvious highlights, and it feels worthy of more than a passing glance.

Alcudia in Mallorca is a compelling stop where step through grand, castellated gates and find Alcàdia’s charming old town alive with the affable energy of tapas bars, colorful ceramic shops, and ornate churches. Legendary open-air markets draw crowds from across the island to this characterful town on Mallorca’s north coast. An authentic Mallorcan experience lowers spill from scenic ledges around faded doors and honey-colored stone, with Roman amphitheater, charming old town, and Mallorcan tapas adding further depth to the experience, giving the call a strong sense of place.

Palamos stands out for Spain’s sunlit coast, as well as the refined coastal charm that shapes the destination. A richer portrait emerges through medieval city charm and gorgeous beach, where landscape, culture, and history intersect in ways that make the place feel coherent, expressive, and inviting. It is easy to see why travelers remember the call so fondly: the destination reveals itself gracefully, offering both immediate beauty and subtler rewards with equal confidence, and it feels worthy of more than a passing glance.

Today we disembark our ship and head to the airport with memories, and friendships, to last a lifetime!
